Mary's Lesson - 23/02/09

In todays lesson everybody was quite scattered and doing there own thing. Everyone was at different levels, all trying to get at the same stage (a finished thriller opening). My self and my group were more focused, alert and prepared for anything as the previous monday in the half term gave us an insight of what we had to overcome this lesson. As in the previous lesson we realized that there were certain parts we needed to re-film, which we planned to do this lesson, we planned for Rebecca to stay behind and try and look for a suitable sound track while myself, Tony and Zeneath went out to re-film the parts we needed to in order to make the overall opening of a high quality. We organized it like this so that we were using our time efficiently, "killing two birds with one stone". However, unfortunately, plans had to change as Zeneath had a dentist appointment which was during the lesson, so we decided that we would all stay back and work together to find an appropriate soundtrack and to also see whether we could edit what we had in such a way that we did not need to go out and re-film. As soon as we came into the conclusion of what we were going to do, we plugged the hard drive into the computer and got comfortable, we automatically begun our credits as that was quick and simple so we thought we would just get it out of the way once and for all leaving us with just the sound track to defeat.
Luckily, we managed to find many different beats, sounds from different genres which were "ok" for our opening, nevertheless, we knew there had to be something better than that, so we continued searching, hoping that we would get satisfied very soon.
